Critical Reflection on topic given - Media Imperialism 1

This week class is talk about Media Imperialism.

What is Media Imperialism anyway? Well... it is a phenomena of a big and wealthy media industry or company control or monopoly over the media industries.

This phenomena we can see at Canada, Italy, and even Britain. Take Britain for an example, British Broadcasting Channel (BBC) operates media-imperialism-ly. Before you bought a TV, you must own an license from BBC that need to be bought annually, even you don't wanna watch BBC. It shows that such huge media company have too much power to control the country and people.

Besides, the Third World receives media information from West country because they too rely on them. The West media destroys the local media and they even selling their own products by advertising simply because of the local's fewer regulatory control in media.
