Critical Reflection on topic given - What is Media Literacy? 2

Why is the Media Literacy important to us as FCM student?

We, the FCM student, besides studying designs and arts, we need to study media as well, as media, art and design can't be seperated from each other. In order to convey the messages better in our art and design, we need and must study Media Literacy, we must study the culture around the world, know what had happened in this world, evaluate the informatin and recreate it into a better form.

Media Literacy keeps us updated as we need to keep up the pace of the information around the world, but somehow it is quite hard as the information is developing rapidly. Even so, we still need to learn everyday so that we're not outdated and be skillful as well.

Critical Reflection on topic given - Media Stereotype 2

From my experience... others stereotypes that I've seen in movies are such as cowboy hat usually represents cowboy, a lonely ranger; a person who wears formal suit represents mafia, business man; a dirty boy represents poor, always wander around the streets; boys who have plaster on their face are probably "fighters", and so on and so forth...

Critical Reflection on topic given - Do you believe in what's in the internet? 2

My second post's reason will be YES.

Yes, it is because we can compare those information, even a tiny little bit of "doodles", "scribbles", "notes", and etc etc... ... and all may become ONE great information that everyone might need. As I said in the previous post, we need to know how to judge these information.

Besides, these information may related to our daily life, they affect us. We can discuss, criticize what is happening and it might have the power to change the world. World change, because of us, the human being, who have lots of thinking and ideas which can change the world. For example, if we say that we've discovered new things, we can share and others might have the interest and continue the explore. New things keep on coming, information keep on updating, it is all because of the media.

Do you believe in what is on the internet?? Well... I'm can't say yes or no... because both is possible. In my first post of this topic, I'll say NO.

The reason I said no is because the internet is too convenient that everyone can post something or edit, or even create his/her own website. For example blog and some unpopular news website. Now, everyone can post anything they like, and we can't just believe what is in the internet is true. Some are just rumors, some are just what they thought, and some are even lies. We need to learn how to judge these information in the internet.
